Hey! Going back to camp tomorrow.
Somehow, I am pretty excited to go back there :D Despite the rules, and the schedule, and the vigorous activities. Mhmmmm.
Anyways, I'm finally 18!!!! :D I feel so.. 18 :P Celebrated the day by replying birthday wishes on Facebook, going out with Liy, Farouk and Heidi (friends from NS) and Farouk's ex schoolmates :) Then after Zohor, family and I left for Genting :D
We got only 8 days off for Chinese New Year holiday. But I think I feel rather contented already :)
Got to meet the girls, sushi-ed, met Gary and Putra :D, spent time with family and relatives, chilled out :D, celebrated birthday at home.. What more can I ask for? :)

Heyya people! I'm back from NS for 8 days starting yesterday for Chinese New Year holiday :D
By the way, I have got lots to say, but I don't know how to make it interesting for you peeps to read.
Sooo, I shall cut it short and say that NS is rather fun for me.
Interesting people, nice teachers, so-so place and not-so-bad-looking guys ahahah.
Oh and NS really tests your mental strength la. EQ. I'm trying my best not to break down now. Since I feel rather okay there already :)

So after much persuasions from the juniors, (ceh, like you damn awesome la Nat -___- ahahah!) Liy, Kar Sing, Arul and I decided to just go ahead without the rest of our batchmates, and attend the Annual Prefects Dinner.

Had a great time hanging out with Liy and Kar Sing (and Arul, yeah). Laughed so much! Talked crap so much! And we gossiped a lot too, as usual :P

Hey blog.
Just got home from Kuantan. It was sort of an impromptu trip. Spent 3 days 2 nights at Vistana since all the other hotels were either fully booked or super expensive, as in 400 bucks per night. So yeaaah.

As always, we'd go there for some stuffed crab at Tong Juan

and for some good old coffee at Hai Peng. But Hai Peng closed early last night, sadly.
Oh! And a new addition to our must-have-while-in-Kuantan food list; keropok and ikan goreng at Mok Naa.

Here, you've to like line-up, oh wait, I mean 'line-up' cos the food, keropok, ikan and they have udang too, they fry them on the spot. And once they're done, people will cut queue and berebut like crazy. And well, Malaysians being Malaysians, hmm.. And the food, rather so-so la. Just the keropok, very very genuine. Like 80% fish, 20% flour.

We went to Teluk Cempedak too. But we didn't go into the water cos the sea was rough that day.
And yeah, if you've already guessed, our trip was all about food je la. Seafood to be exact ;) Not bad a place to go to if you want some real good seafood. Good as in fresh la. Taste wise, I can't really say :P

Hi ho, hi low people!
Back from Pe-pe-pe-penang! :D that explains the title la okay, haha.
Aaanyways, Penang was gooood!
Stayed at Liy's uncle's place, near SMK Convent Green Lane.
So basically, Aina, Liy and I, our plan was to eat eat and eat non-stop there!
Turned out, plan fail. We eat one food, get too full to even move properly, take 1-2 hours of break, then only can makan -____- Haha!
But, we got to try those Penang delicacies la. Asam laksa twice, cendol once, mee mamak once, coconut shake (no, only in Penang la I bet this drink ;) ) once, nasi kandar once, nasi padang once. Oh and Burger Pos!
My God, Penangites lagi gila la from Subang people! In the middle of the night pun, people still eating :O
Some stalls open only at 11pm! And according to Liy's uncle, before they even open the shop, people started queuing already. Like what the heeeck :O awesome or what :D

And totally dont regret missing prom la kay.
Schoolmates go prom, we go makan! xD
And the night where prom was on, we went to a spastic children's hospital :) Liy's uncle had to do some caroling there. Though we were there for not even an hour, I.. felt something la you know. :)
First time experiencing such thing. Invaluable la. Especially being there with Liy and Aina. Makes it much, much meaningful.

Oh, another highlight. Liy's half eurasian actually. Her granddad's a Portuguese and her Granny's Chinese.
So, her uncle goes to this place, they call it P.E.A. or Penang Eurasian Association, at Jalan Kelawai.
There's a restaurant there. Good place, nice ambience and good music ;)
Went there on our second night there for dinner, third night for dessert and today, our final day, for their Curry Lunch event.
Anyways, my point is I met/saw this guy. My God, so cute :') Sadly, he's a Penangite.
Which means, I clearly don't stand a chance la kay. Haih.
LDR (read: long distance relationship) never works for me. Or.. not yet. Never tried, lol.
And.. why would a guy fall for me, kan? Okay, no self pity please, Nat.

Anyways, pictures will be up once Liy uploads them.
Didn't wanna take the 600D with me. So I used Liy's 450D instead :)
So, gotta wait for her first.

It's been almost three months since I officially became the Head Prefect.
And only now, I felt like jotting down everything that I'm going through throughout this once in a lifetime experince.

So far, to summarise things that I've failed to record for the past three months, I'd just say that being the HP is not easy.
And it's not always all about the power.
Heck, I don't think there is much power whatever, too.

When I first got the post, I thought.. I wanted to be the HP that everybody will like and that can get along with everyone.
Third month at this job, and nah, I'm starting to think that it is not that achievable.
If I wish to please others, I've to deny the rules.
And I'm in no position to break the rules. So yeah.

And as for the board, everyday, I feel like I grow fonder of everyone.
No matter what sht, headache and stress that they throw my way.
I know I felt this way before, back in Form 2, but this time, it's much different.
Because I feel like they're family.
And that I'm the big sister, that has to take care of the whole lot of them.
I feel.. more responsible. And more realistic.
I'm slowly falling out of my fantasy world.

On Tuesday (2/11/2010), I'm going to go down to the afternoon session to visit my much younger dearies.
Haven't been spending much time with them.
I feel bad. Relieved, too, at the same time :)
God knows why, haha.

Funny how things work, eh?
At first, I went to boarding school. And then I came back. Got lucky; got the HP post. And now, I'm starting to love.

Haha okay, half kidding. At least here I can use the internet. Definite plus point there :D

So, went to Bandung with Mum, Aunty Bob (mum's roommate from boarding school when they were 13) and her daughter, Aliyyah.
3 days and 2 nights. Should've been longer. Heck, I don't mind living there! :D
It was absobloodylutely awesome. No second thoughts.
You walk about 200 metres from this one shop, and TADA! You're at another shop. Haha.
Shopping paradise, heck yeah! And the price is.. not so pricey. Cos you know, it's like.. 1000 Rupiah is RM0.35. Yeah.
If only I were some rich kid from England. Maaaan. The exchange rate would've been muuuuch better :D
Too bad I'm not. Heh.

Okay, of course, I bought clothes from there. Only 9 though, plus a pair of jeans.
Cos I felt guilty :| really, no joke. I'm always like that :( good for my parents, right.. Ahahah.
And ohhh, I bought a new handbag too. It's a Chanel. I like it. And it's not expensive.

So, today, 29th May 2010, which happens to be Omarul's <3 :P birthday,
would be like a super remarkable day for me!
For the first time ever, I'm going to 2 social events and going on a public transport in Malaysia without my parents.
Like whoa okay!

#1, I strongly dislike public transport.
#2, I have never gone to KL without my parents.

FYI, I'm still having exam.
Oh my, being a Pure Science student, dang, can die okay.
Bio, Physics, Add Math, can just blow off your brain.
If you're a Science stream student, you would know.
I have not exactly been studying and revisioning my ass off.
Not like Li Ping or Kar Sing and the load you know.
But yeah, the pressure is still there.

And exam's like 3 weeks long!
How can one ever survive 3 weeks of pure brain damage?? :P
I have a week more to go actually.
But the rest of the papers are like, paper 1 = objective paper.
So I don't give a damn much :P
Just need to like do a lot of drilling later.

For now, Imma go and have my much needed de-stress activity! :)

I went for two games; netball and frisbee, yesterday.
Buuut, we lost both games :(
Ouh well, we didnt practice netball much. And the score was ONLY 2-1.
Against USJ4, it was
We were so close :| but nvm, SJ rocks aight! :D
And we had supporters baby!
Marvin, Mun Han, Amsyar, Kar Sing and Yong Jun! :D

As for frisbee, most of us - me, Mun Han, Amsyar, Yong Jun, Hon Mun, Kar Sing - were first timers, so memang la kalah. I think only Ping knows how to play LOL.
And USJ8, they're all prefects who are in the school frisbee team.
Ahahah.
They were good, and they're very nice people :)
I like them :D

Oh, and I like frisbee too!
Mun Han and I were discussing about yesterday's game and all, and we thought we should make our own frisbee team too! :D

Life in school has been more hectic than ever.
This is so Form 2 life man. Oh, pure joy!
Form 2 was like, the best year of my life?
Being out of class all the time, dealing with teachers.
To me, it's fun! :D

So, I got through 2 interviews already with the Top 6s.
To run for post.
Going for the next one, the 3rd one, which I hope is the final one.
The experience of being bombarded with questions.. is killing me already.
Haha. My nervousness can kill me.

And studies. Oh gosh, Add Math, is giving me no mercy at all :(
It's darn confusing and complicated.
Lucky me I'm sitting to the Add Math super pro genius, Jeffrey.
I get to get like one-on-one with him ahahah.
And it's like, everyone comes up to him to ask about Add Math.

Exam's in 4 weeks. I feel like punching myself.

Haha yes, I FINALLY DID IT!

I am back at SJ! YAAAAAY!

I am so freaking happy okay! Coming back to SJ is like, returning home for me :')

So, my first day, Tuesday, was better than I expected.

Of course, people asked why I came back and all.

But otherwise, everything was great :D

It feels so good to be back, I've been telling everyone :)

SJ, I just realized, has a rather good environment going on here.

Like seriously. :)

My only concern is getting a post for Prefects, as well as for BSM and also keeping up with studies.

So far, I think I'm doing quite okay with studies. I just need to catch up almost a chapter for every subject.

I think that it's not so bad la. Since it's only the starting of Form 4 :)

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall. She assured everyone that she was fine (They offered to call paramedics). She said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening..

Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital. At 6:00 pm Ingridpassed away. She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ.. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE:

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR .. Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE, coherently. (i.e. It is sunny out today.)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS..

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

Moved to new house on the first of Jan.
But I keep coming back to the old house, cos there is internet connection here at the old house.
New house, not yet, sadly.

Yesterday was first day of school.
But, I, err, skipped school!
Yeah, on the first day. Uneffingbelieveable right. Ahahah.
There was this stupid traffic jam at the Kewajipan roundabout.
Must be cos of the new flyover which ends just before the roundabout.
And prolly cos of Sri KL, too.
I reached school at about 8am.
Heck, no way I was going to school then.
So I went home.

Today, is the second day of school and I did attend school.
And I got kicked into 4 Setia, Science stream, woooh!
Bad thing is, that stalker dude (I feel guilty calling him that but that is what he is :l) is in my class, and people I love like Gary, Devyoni, Farah, Ben, are sent to some other classes according to what stream they want.
And I'm still stuck with KIASU people, like Kar Sing, Mei Shia, Li Ping, and now, Hui Qing <3. So yeah. Time to work hard again. (Oh no!)
But I hope I get to go to boarding school.
The whole batch will be kiasu I think. :/ daaaang.

I wouldn't say that I have wasted my time on the computer only.
Cos it is so not true!

I know, I didnt succeed on getting a part-time job for myself this holiday.
Nor did I manage to continue my piano class.

BUT,
I did get to hang out with some of my favourite people! :D
Liyana, Nadia, Hui Qing.

I mean, in school we're all in diff classes.
So the catching up part is hard.
Even after PMR.

But this holiday, I did it.
I learnt to appreciate the Korean stuffs that Liy & Qing are crazy about.
I learnt what kind of shoes that Nadia wants to buy.
I bet they learnt that I'm sucha brat.
That when something isn't my way, I'll sulk haha.

I'll take that as the silver lining as to why I didn't get a job this holiday.
This year is meant for me to spend with my favourite people :)
Maybe next year, we'll all be busy working part-time that we won't be that close anymore.
Who knows what other things that can happen next year right?

Oh my God. This is so unfair.
Last week, I was like super busy, going here, going there.

I met many new people :)

I think there's a lot more that I've learnt/achieved.

I went for the INTI thing at INTI SS15 yesterday.
It was great.
But.. there is something I'd like to share with you readers.

All my life, I've always wanted to by a gynae.
Like, since I was 5 or younger I think.
How I got to know about gynaes?
Well, I'm the eldest child.
So when my mum goes to the doctor to check her pregnancy (somehow my grammar is so out today :|),
somehow I knew about gynaes la.
It's fun to be a gynae I guess.
You're like the first to hold anyone's kid.
It's gonna mean something to these people.
It's awesome, alright.

But then, when I went for the INTI programme,
we did this career//personality thingy.
There was six personalities; Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Conventional, Social & Enterprise.
Guess which one I got? SOCIAL.
I was so shocked. Like wth okay.
I was expecting investigative, cos that's where science is.

So now, I'm like super confused.
My strength is my social self.
So, if I were to choose to go to Science, maybe I would not like it in the end.
But I want to go to Science!
I want to be a freaking gynae, dammit.
Oh God, please help me :(

movie addict :D

Yes, I'm turning into a movie addict man.
Every week, one movie. Omg.

Went to Pyramid (-.-, again) with Liyana yesterday. She wanted to get a pair of pants from Dorothy Perkins.
So, there was only the two of us.
& we got bored la. It was like 2pm. We're going back at 5.
So, we decided to watch movie.
Ahahaha, yes, I've became the impulsive girl.
The never-thinking-before-doing-something kinda girl.
Dang. Bad. This is bad.

I wanted to watch Jennifer's Body. But then, it's rated 18.
I knew I could pass (during the ticket collection(?)) yesterday.
But it's like a horror movie, somehow right?
Liyana wouldn't like that.
We ended up watching 'The Time Traveller's Wife'.
& yes, I know. I told myself that I won't watch a movie before reading the book.
But I went & break the rule myself. Ahahah.
Sorry, self.
But the movie was good. Mum said the movie sucks, but it was good.
Not that confusing.
& the part where the time traveller dies, was kinda sad.
Liy said, she cried a bit. Me too :P

After coming back from Pyramid, we went for Amira Syahirah's youngest sister's birthday party at McDonald's SS15.
Got to meet one of my old friend from SKSJ.
Diyana Farhana.
Funny thing is, I don't remember her. Like seriously.
Cos she pindah in Standard 4.
I really dont remember her. My memory is super bad, omg.
Sorry, Diy. :((

Today, am going to Pyramid (omg, again?!) to watch 'This Is It' with mum, sisters, mum's friends and my 'siblings'.
Omg, I miss them sooo much! Especially Baman & Hydeir.
Haha, they're like the brothers that I've ever wished for lol.

Omg, another ribut in Philippines. Oh boy, I pity them.

Hello world!
I'm baaaaack.. from down-under -- Singapore!
Had a short trip to that lovely country, Saturday to Monday.
Oh man, I loooooooove Singapore! Their public transport, especially the MRT.
It's so convenient!! And the MRT is always on time. (Unlike Malaysia here *whistle whistle*)

Gosh, I sooo didn't wanna leave that place. It already felt like home.
Cos everything they have there i.e. food is almost the same as what we have here.
They even referred to the Teh Tarik as a local drink.
That made me wonder, Teh Tarik is from Malaysia or Singapore?

And as for pictures, I don't think I'll upload any here.
Okay, maybe one or two. Or a few.
If I'm rajin enough.

Ouh btw, I tried The LUGE!!
OMG, it was awesome! For those of you who don't know what a Luge ride is,
it's like this go-cart-ish thing, that uses gravity to move the ride//car.
Go GOOGLE it!
If you go to Sentosa, go try on that thing! 'Once is never enough' is their motto!
And yes, it's sooo true. But my sisters and I, we only went on it once.
Cos it's pretty pricey you know. So yeah.
